Seat Back Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front bucket seat.
2. Position the seat back to the most forward position.




3. Unfasten the J-hook retainer (2) at the bottom of the seat back cover (1).
4. Remove the recliner cable from retaining tab the seat cushion frame.




5. Remove enough of the cover in order to gain access to the seat back recliner bolts.




6. Remove the seat back recliner bolts.
7. Lift upward on the seat back assembly.
This will separate the seat back assembly from the recliners.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the seat back assembly to the recliners.
Slide the assembly downward along the recliners until the fastener openings are aligned.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the seat back recliner bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).




3. Reposition the seat back cover to a desired appearance.
4. Route the recliner cable onto the cushion frame.




5. Fasten the J-hook retainer (2) at the bottom of the seat back cover (1).
6. Install the bucket seat.
7. Return the seat back to the original position.
