Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P)

Removal Procedure




1. Lower the right insulator panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right.
2. Remove the screws from the instrument panel (I/P) compartment.




3. Open the I/P compartment. Disconnect the I/P damper cables, if equipped.
4. Depress the side stops located on the sides of the I/P compartment.
5. Carefully remove the /IP compartment.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the I/P compartment to the opening.
Depress the side stops located on the sides of the I/P compartment.
Install the I/P compartment to the I/P compartment opening.
2. Connect the I/P compartment damper cables, if equipped.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the I/P compartment screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Close the I/P compartment. Verify that the I/P compartment is properly aligned. Adjust the compartment as required.
5. Install the right insulator panel.
