Component Tests and General Diagnostics
SEAT - MANUAL BACK RECLINER1. Operate the seat back recliner lever.
2. Apply force rearward in order to adjust the seat back into the fully reclined position.
3. Inspect for ease of lever operation and seat back movement.
4. Release the seat back recliner lever.
5. Leave the seat back fully reclined.
6. Operate the seat back recliner lever in order to position the seat back forward to an intermediate reclined position.
7. Release the seat back recliner lever.
8. Apply manual force to the upper seat back in the rearward direction in order to inspect for positive seat back recliner locking action.
9. Operate the seat back recliner mechanism lever in order to adjust the seat back to a normal position.
10. Inspect the ease of lever operation and seat back full return.
11. Release the seat back recliner lever.
12. Apply manual force to the upper seat back in the rearward direction in order to inspect for positive seat back recliner locking action.
13. Ensure that the release lever returns to the normal position without any assistance from the operator.
