Mode Door

MODE DOOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the HVAC module assembly.
2. Remove the mode actuator linkage from the mode door.




3. Remove the mode door spring.




4. Remove the screw for the mode/defroster door case cover retainer.
5. Remove the retainer.




6. Remove the mode/defroster door case cover screws.
7. Remove the mode/defroster door case cover.




8. Remove the mode door (2) from the HVAC module assembly case.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the mode door (2) to the HVAC module assembly case.




2. Install the mode/defroster door case cover.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the mode/defroster door case cover screws.

Tighten the screws to 1 N.m (9 lb in).




4. Install the mode/defroster door case cover retainer.
5. Install the screw for the retainer.

Tighten the screw to 1 N.m (9 lb in).




6. Install the mode door spring.




7. Install the mode actuator linkage to the mode door.
8. Install the HVAC module assembly.
