Multifunction, Turn Signal Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Caution:
Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

Disable the SIR system.





2. Remove the mounting screw (1) from the multifunction switch (2).





3. Remove the multifunction switch (1) from the column (2).
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the multifunction switch (1).

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the electrical connectors to the multifunction switch (1).
2. Position the multifunction switch (1) on the steering column (2) while depressing the spring loaded horn pin.






3. Notice:
Install the mounting screw (1) to the multifunction switch (2).

^ Tighten the screw to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.).
4. Enable the SIR system.
5. Verify that the multifunction switch works properly.
