POWER SEATS SYSTEM DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

POWER SEAT SYSTEM COMPONENTS
The power seat system consists of the following components:
- Driver seat adjuster motor assembly
- Driver seat adjuster switch
- Passenger seat adjuster motor assembly
- Passenger seat adjuster switch
- POWER SEATS 30A circuit breaker

POWER SEAT OPERATION
The seat adjuster motors are controlled by the seat adjuster switch. Battery positive voltage and ground is supplied to the seat adjuster motors through the seat adjuster switch. All of the seat adjuster switches are closed to ground when in an inactive state. When a seat adjuster switch is pressed one of the adjuster motor supply circuits is supplied battery positive voltage, and ground is provided through the supply circuit to the inactive switch. The adjuster motors are reversible and the direction of the adjuster motor rotation is determined by which of the supply circuits is closed to battery positive voltage and which remains grounded.
