Locking Rod Replacement - Front Door

Removal Procedure

Important: The locking rod is replaced as part of the door latch assembly.




1. Remove the trim panel.
2. Remove the front door water deflector.
3. Remove the inside door handle.




4. Remove the window run channel.
5. Remove the locking assembly, including the attached locking rod (5).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the lock assembly with the attached rods (1).




2. Install the outside door handle and rods (1).
3. Install the window run channel.
4. Install the inside door handle.
5. Install the front door water deflector.
6. Install the trim panel.
