Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
2. Remove the MAF sensor screws.
3. Remove the MAF sensor from the air cleaner cover.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the MAF sensor to the air cleaner cover.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 0.6 N.m (5 lb in).

2. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
3. Start and idle the engine.
4. Inspect the air intake duct for leaks.
