License Plate Lamp: Service and Repair

LICENSE LAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. From underneath the vehicle, rotate the license lamp socket counterclockwise to disengage the locking tabs.




2. Remove the license lamp socket from the license lamp assembly.
3. From underneath the vehicle, hold the license lamp assembly in place while loosening the fasteners from the lamp assembly.
4. Slide the lamp assembly rearward to remove.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. From underneath the vehicle, slide the license lamp onto the rear fascia.




2. While holding the license lamp in place, install the license lamp screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the license lamp assembly screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).




3. Install the license lamp socket into the license lamp assembly.
4. Rotate the license lamp socket clockwise to engage the locking tabs.
