Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Open Hood
3. Reposition powertrain control module (PCM) water boot aside.
4. Remove PCM from bracket.
5. Disconnect electrical from PCM and remove PCM.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install electrical connections to PCM.

Tighten
Tighten bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

2. Install the PCM to the bracket.
3. Position PCM water boot back into place.
4. Close the hood.
5. Connect negative battery cable.
