Applique Replacement - Windshield Frame

J 36796 Clip Zip Clip Removal Tool


Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Open the door.




3. Remove the lower windshield frame applique retainers using the J 36796 .
4. Lower the retractable roof.





Important: When removing the upper windshield frame applique retainer, use caution to prevent the retainer from entering the water run channel in the header seal.


5. Remove the upper windshield frame applique retainer.




6. Pull outward to release the windshield frame applique from the Dual Loc patches.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the windshield frame applique to the vehicle.
2. Press down to seat the Dual Loc patches.





Important: When installing the upper windshield frame applique retainer, use caution to prevent the retainer from entering the water run channel in the header seal.


3. Install the upper windshield frame applique retainer.




4. Install the lower windshield frame applique retainers.
5. Return the retractable roof to its original position.
6. Close the door.
7. Close the hood.
