Heater Hose: Service and Repair

HEATER HOSES REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
2. Release the hose clamps.
3. Remove the heater core inlet hose at the bulkhead and at the rear of the cylinder head.




4. Remove the heater core outlet hose at the bulkhead and at the rear of the cylinder block on 2.0L equipped vehicles.
5. Remove the heater core outlet hose at the bulkhead and at the side of the cylinder block on 1.6L equipped vehicles.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the heater core inlet hose at the bulkhead and at the rear of the cylinder head.
2. Secure the heater core inlet hose with the hose clamps.
3. Install the heater core outlet hose at the bulkhead and at the rear of the cylinder block on 2.0L equipped vehicles.
4. Install the heater core outlet hose at the bulkhead and at the side of the cylinder block on 1.6L equipped vehicles.
5. Secure the heater core outlet hose with the hose clamps.
6. Fill the engine cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
