Heated Glass Element Switch: Service and Repair

REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER SWITCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the IP cluster trim plate.
2. Using a taped flat bladed tool, gently pry the rear window defogger switch (1) from the instrument panel.




3. Disconnect the rear window defogger switch electrical connector (2).
4. Remove the switch (1) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the rear window defogger switch electrical connector (2).
2. Install the rear window defogger switch (1) to the instrument panel. Ensure that the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
3. Install the IP cluster trim plate.
