Bus Bar Lead Terminal Repair

BUS BAR LEAD TERMINAL REPAIR

Reattach the rear defogger bus bar lead terminals by resoldering with a solder containing 3 percent silver and a rosin flux paste.

1. Buff the repair area with fine steel wool before soldering the bus bar lead terminal.
2. Use a brush in order to apply the paste-type rosin flux in small quantities to the bus bar lead terminal repair area.
3. Coat the soldering iron tip with solder before applying solder.
4. Use only enough heat in order to melt the solder.
5. Use only enough solder to ensure a complete repair.
6. Do not overheat the terminal when resoldering.
