Quarter Window Motor: Service and Repair

ACTUATOR REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER WINDOW

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the rear corner upper garnish molding.




2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear quarter window actuator.
3. Remove the rear quarter window actuator retaining bolts.




4. Remove the bearing bushing retaining screw.
5. Remove the actuator from the vehicle.
6. To separate the rear quarter window actuator from the bearing, place the rear quarter window actuator on a shop bench and disassemble by removing the pin from the latch bearing.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Assemble the bearing to the rear quarter window actuator by installing the pin.
2. Install the bearing bushing retaining screw.




3. Install the rear quarter window actuator retaining bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Tighten the bearing bushing retaining screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Connect the electrical connector to the rear quarter window actuator.
5. Install the rear corner upper garnish molding.
