THEFT DETERRENT CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) knee bolster.
2. Remove the ignition lock cylinder.
3. Remove the trim cover from the upper steering column.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector at the base of the steering column.




5. Pull the theft deterrent control module from the ignition lock cylinder housing.
6. Remove the electrical connector and wires from the steering column.
7. Remove the theft deterrent control module from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the theft deterrent control module to the vehicle.
2. Install the electrical connector and wires to the column.




3. Slide the theft deterrent control module over the ignition lock cylinder housing.
4. Connect the electrical connector at the base to the steering column.
5. Install the trim cover to the upper steering column.
6. Install the ignition lock cylinder.
7. Install the I/P knee bolster.
8. Program the theft deterrent system. Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components. Programming and Relearning
