Replacement procedure



BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable (1) from the negative battery post.
2. Remove the negative battery cable bolt (2).
3. Disconnect the sensor connection (3).
4. Remove the ground cable from the vehicle, noting the routing for installation.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the sensor (3).
2. Install the negative battery cable bolt (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

3. Connect the negative battery cable (1).
