Remote Control Door Lock Transmitter Programming (Tech 2)
Remote Control Door Lock Transmitter Programming (Tech 2)
Important:
Do not connect the scan tool to the DLC before the key is placed in the ignition. If the scan tool is connected before the ignition is turned ON, then communication errors and the programming procedure may not complete.
Important:
All transmitters, which are to be recognized by the intelligent switching unit (ISU), must be programmed in a single programming sequence. Up to 4 transmitters can be the programmed to a vehicle's keyless entry system. A minimum of 2 keys is required to perform the procedure. You must obtain all the keys from the vehicle owner before programming any current or new keys. Any vehicle keys not programmed during the programming procedure will be inoperative after the programming sequence is completed. Ensure that the doors, hood and trunk/rear hatch are closed prior to starting the programming procedure. If the system is placed in program mode, then the ISU will erase all previously programmed transmitters upon the receipt of the first transmitter s programming signal. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are also in the keyless entry program mode. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle.
