Fuel Filter Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Fuel Pressure Notice Fuel Pressure Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Service and Repair.

Caution:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Remove the fuel filter protector located on the underbody.





4. Disconnect the rear fuel feeding tube connector and the rear filter tube connector.

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the rear fuel feeding tube connector and the rear fuel filter tube connector.





Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the fuel filter protector.

Tighten the fuel filer protector retaining bolt to 4 Nm (35 lb in).

3. Connect the negative battery cable.

4. Perform a leak test of the fuel filter.
