Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the air filter outlet hose.





3. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor wiring harness connector.





4. Remove the CKP sensor heat shield housing.





5. Remove the CKP sensor.

Installation Procedure





Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice.

1. Install the CKP sensor.

Tighten the CKP sensor retaining bolt to 7 Nm (62 lb in).





2. Install the CKP sensor heat shield housing.

Tighten the CKP sensor heat shield housing bolt to 8 Nm (71 lb in).





3. Connect the CKP sensor wiring harness connector.





4. Install the air filter outlet hose.

5. Connect the negative battery cable.
