Ignition Lock Cylinder Lamp Replacement
Removal Procedure
Caution:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement Knee Bolster Replacement in Interior Trim.
3. Remove the instrument cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
4. Remove the steering column upper and lower covers.
5. Remove the nuts and the bolts securing the steering column.
6. Disconnect the steering column electrical connector.
7. Lower the steering column.
8. Remove the screw and the headlamp, immobilizer demodulator.
9. Remove the ignition switch keyhole lamp and the bulb.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the ignitions switch keyhole lamp and the bulb.
Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Install the headlamp, immobilizer demodulator, with the screw.
Tighten the ignition switch keyhole lamp screw to 1.5 Nm (13 lb in).
3. Raise the steering column.
4. Connect the steering column electrical connector.
5. Install the nuts and the bolts securing the steering column.
* Tighten the steering column nuts to 22 Nm (16 lb in).
* Tighten the steering column bolts to 22 Nm (16 lb in).
6. Install the steering column upper, lower cover.
7. Install the instrument cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
8. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement Knee Bolster Replacement in Interior Trim.
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
