Power Steering Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Service and Repair.

2. Remove the cargo area rear trim panel. Refer the Cargo Area Rear Trim Panel Replacement Cargo Area Rear Trim Panel Replacement.





3. Remove the SSPS control module bolts.

4. Slide the module up in order to remove the module.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the module.

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the electrical connector to the SSPS control module.





Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice.

2. Install the SSPS control module with bolts.

Tighten the SSPS control module bolts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

3. Install the cargo area rear trim panel. Refer to Cargo Area Rear Trim Panel Replacement Cargo Area Rear Trim Panel Replacement.

4. Install the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Service and Repair.
