Folding Top Panel Adjustment - Rear

Important: Before performing the panel adjustment procedures, refer to Folding Top Clearance Gap Specifications (Folding Top Clearance Gap Specifications) .



Important:
* Before making adjustments to the up/down position of the folding top panel determine which panel needs the adjustment and for what reason.

* When the folding top is closed and latched, if the rear panel is too high or too low relative to the folding top front panel, adjust the position of the rear panel by loosening the fasteners attaching the rear panel to the side rail assembly.





Up/Down Adjustment Procedure

1. Cycle the folding top open.
2. Place a protective covering over the interior of the vehicle and quarter panels.
3. Remove the front headliner. Refer to Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement (Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.
4. Remove the side headliners. Refer to Retractable Roof Headliner Side Trim Panel Replacement (Retractable Roof Headliner Side Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.
5. Remove the center headliner. Refer to Retractable Roof Headliner Rear Trim Panel Replacement (Retractable Roof Headliner Rear Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.




6. Mark the fasteners to the side rail for a starting reference point.
7. Cycle the folding top closed.
8. Loosen the folding top rear panel fasteners.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

9. Adjust the panel as necessary.

Tighten the fasteners to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

10. Verify that the folding top rear panel is aligned properly.
11. Repeat the adjustment procedure as necessary.
12. Cycle the folding top open.
13. Install the center headliner. Refer to Retractable Roof Headliner Rear Trim Panel Replacement (Retractable Roof Headliner Rear Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.
14. Install the side headliners. Refer to Retractable Roof Headliner Side Trim Panel Replacement (Retractable Roof Headliner Side Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.
15. Install the front headliner. Refer to Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement (Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.
16. Remove the protective covering.
17. Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation.
