Folding Top Front Panel Weatherstrip Replacement

FOLDING TOP FRONT PANEL WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Cycle the folding top open 100 mm (4 in).
2. Stop the folding top at this point.




3. Grasp the weatherstrip at the side.
4. Pull the weatherstrip away from the front panel.




5. Remove the weatherstrip from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Remove all of the adhesive from the front panel using Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naptha.

IMPORTANT: Use gloves when installing the weatherstrip to protect your hands from hot surfaces.

2. Use a heat gun to warm the weatherstrip to 27-38°C (80-100°F) using a circular motion for 5 minutes prior to installation.




3. Align the weatherstrip to the front roof panel.
4. Push firmly on the weatherstrip to fully seat the weatherstrip to the front roof panel.
5. Cycle the folding top closed.
