Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Release Mech

Removal Procedure


Notice: Verify that the rear compartment lid is fully closed prior to operating the folding top stowage compartment lid. Damage will occur if both lids are operated/opened at the same time. When operating the folding top stowage compartment lid manually, use the aid of an assistant to help with lifting.

1. Cycle the folding stowage compartment lid to the open position.
2. Remove the folding top stowage compartment lid latch. Refer to Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Latch Replace (Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Latch Replace) .
3. Locate the folding top stowage compartment lid release cables behind the carpet.
4. Note the release cable routing at the latch for aid in installation.
5. Remove the release cable from the latch.
6. Remove the zip-ties holding the hose and cable to the body.
7. Note the place of the release cables at the back seat body panel for aid in installation.
8. Remove the stowage compartment lid release cables from the back seat body panel.
9. Remove the release cables from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the release cables into the back seat body panel.
2. Route the release cables to the stowage compartment lid latch.
3. Install the release cables into the stowage compartment lid latch.
4. Install the removed zip-ties to the hose and cable routing.
5. Install the stowage compartment lit latch. Refer to Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Latch Replace (Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Latch Replace) .
6. Cycle the folding top stowage compartment lid closed.
