15. Wiring Harness Removal



Wiring Harness Removal





1. Using a 30 - 32 mm (1 3/16 inch) deep well socket or box end wrench, depress the four tabs on internal wiring harness connector (1). With the tabs depressed, gently pop the connector into and through the transmission case (2) with the palm of the hand.





2. Disconnect the internal wiring harness (2) from the following components:
^ Pressure control solenoid A (7)
^ Shift solenoid C (8).
^ Pressure control solenoid B (6)
^ Shift solenoid E (5)
^ Shift solenoid D (4)
^ Torque converter clutch pulse width modulated (TCC PWM) solenoid (3)
^ Transmission fluid pressure switch (9)
^ Modulated main solenoid G (11)

3. Remove the solenoid retainers (1) from shift solenoid D (4) and shift solenoid E (5).
4. Remove the internal wiring harness (2) from main valve body (10).
5. Install the solenoid retainers (1).
