Blower Replacement - Ventilation Heat and Cool - Front Seat Back



BLOWER REPLACEMENT - VENTILATION HEAT AND COOL - FRONT SEAT BACK

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the seat back trim cover.
2. Remove the cardboard backer from the seat back frame.
1. Use a razor blade and cut the adhesive securing the seat back foam to the cardboard.
2. Lift the foam back foam over the head restraint tubes in the seat back frame.
3. Remove the push-pin fasteners (1) securing the blower duct to the cardboard backer (2).
4. Remove the cardboard backer from the seat back frame.
3. Disconnect the ventilation heat and cool blower electrical connector.




4. Drill the rivets (1) retaining the ventilation heat and cool blower to the seat back frame.

CAUTION: Eye protection must be worn when drilling rivets to reduce the chance of personal injury.

5. Cut the tie strap (2) securing the ventilation heat and cool blower to the seat back frame.
6. Remove the ventilation heat and cool blower from the seat frame.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the ventilation heat and cool blower to the seat back frame.
2. Install a tie strap (2) in the same position as the one removed during removal.
3. Install two rivet (1) to secure the ventilation heat and cool blower (3) to the seat back frame.
4. Connect the ventilation heat and cool blower electrical connector.




5. Install the seat back cardboard panel.
1. Position the cardboard backer to the seat back frame.
2. Install the push-pin fasteners (1) to secure the ventilation heat and cool blower duct.
3. Position the seat back foam over the head restraint tubes.
4. Glue the seat back foam in the same locations as it was removed during the removal process.
6. Install the seat back trim cover.
