Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - Bezel Replacement



BEZEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Tilt the steering wheel to the full down position.
2. Remove the left closeout/insulator panel.
3. Remove the knee bolster trim panel.




4. Remove the screws retaining the bezel to the instrument panel.
5. Remove the bezel from the instrument panel.
6. If equipped, remove the transfer case shift control switch. Refer to Transfer Case Shift Control Switch Replacement (GMC, Buick) Transfer Case Shift Control Switch Replacement (Chevrolet) in Transfer Case.
7. Remove the rear wiper washer switch.
8. If equipped, remove the cigar lighter or 12-volt power supply outlets. Refer to Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement - 12 Volt in Power Outlets.
9. Remove the bezel from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. If equipped, install the cigar lighter or 12-volt power supply outlets. Refer to Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement - 12 Volt in Power Outlets.
2. Install the rear wiper washer switch.
3. If equipped, install the transfer case shift control switch. Refer to Transfer Case Shift Control Switch Replacement (GMC, Buick) Transfer Case Shift Control Switch Replacement (Chevrolet) in Transfer Case.
4. Install the bezel to the instrument panel.
5. Install the screws retaining the bezel to the instrument panel.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

6. Install the knee bolster trim panel.
7. Install the left closeout/insulator panel.
