Seat Belt Guide Track: Service and Repair
SHOULDER BELT GUIDE ADJUSTER REPLACEMENT - FRONTTOOLS REQUIRED
J 29843-9 Door Lock Striker and Seat Belt TORX(R) Wrench
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the plastic cover from the shoulder belt guide.
2. Remove the front seat belt upper guide loop anchor nut.
3. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel.
4. Use the J 29843-9 in order to remove the bolts (3) from the shoulder belt guide adjuster bracket (1).
5. Remove the shoulder belt guide adjuster bracket (1) from the B-pillar (2).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the shoulder belt guide adjuster bracket (1) to the B-pillar (2).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Use the J 29843-9 in order to install the bolts (3) to the bracket (1) on the shoulder belt guide adjuster.
Tighten
Tighten the bracket bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
3. Install the center pillar upper trim panel.
4. Install the nut securing the anchor nut to the upper guide loop.
Tighten
Tighten the anchor nut to 29 N.m (21 lb ft).
5. Install the plastic cover to the shoulder belt guide.
