Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair



MASS AIR FLOW (MAF)/INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the electrical connector for the mass air flow (MAF)/air intake temperature (IAT) sensor (5).




2. Remove the MAF/IAT sensor from the air cleaner housing (7).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the MAF/IAT sensor in the air cleaner housing (6).

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the arrow on the MAF/IAT sensor is pointing to the front, radiator, indicate the proper air flow direction. The arrow must point toward the engine.




2. Reconnect the MAF/IAT electrical connector.
