Transfer Case Speed Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle.

2. Remove the electrical connector from the speed sensor.

3. Remove the speed sensor and the O-ring from the transfer case.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the new speed sensor into the transfer case with a new O-ring seal.

Tighten the right rear speed sensor to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).

2. Install the electrical connector to the speed sensor.
3. Lower the vehicle.
