Battery Positive Cable Extension Cable Junction Block Replacement



BATTERY POSITIVE CABLE EXTENSION CABLE JUNCTION BLOCK REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution.

1. Disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable.




2. Remove the positive battery cable nut from the junction block.
3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.




4. Remove the auxiliary cable clip bolt from the frame.




5. Remove the starter lead nut.
6. Remove the auxiliary positive battery cable from the starter stud.
7. Remove the auxiliary positive battery cable.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the auxiliary positive battery cable.
2. Install the auxiliary positive battery cable to the starter stud.
3. Install the starter lead nut.

Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.




4. Install the auxiliary cable clip bolt to the frame.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

5. Lower the vehicle.




6. Install the auxiliary positive battery cable to the junction block.
7. Install the auxiliary positive battery cable nut to the junction block.

Tighten the nut to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

8. Connect the auxiliary battery negative cable.
