Stator Shaft Needle Bearing Replacement

- J 26941 Oil Pump Cover Needle Bearing Remover
- J 8092 Universal Driver
- J 43775Oil Pump Cover Needle Bearing Installer





1. Important: Use this procedure if replacing only the stator shaft needle bearing.

Install J 26941 (1) into the bearing (2) so that the lips of the tool engage the bottom lip of the needle bearing race.
2. Tighten the screw of J 26941 finger tight.
3. Install a slide hammer onto the end of J 26941.
4. Remove the needle bearing (2).





5. Important: The needle bearing may be installed with either end up.

Install the large end of J 43775 (2) onto J 8092 (1).
6. Drive the needle bearing (3) into the oil pump cover assembly (4) until J 43775 sets.
7. Ensure the bearing is installed below the stator shaft surface.
^ The needle bearing installed depth measurement is flush to 0.25 mm (0.010 inch) below the stator shaft surface
