Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
3. Remove the oil pan drain plug.





4. Remove the oil filter.

Installation Procedure





1. Lubricate the oil filter gasket with clean engine oil and install the oil filter .Tighten the filter to one turn after gasket contact.

2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the oil pan drain bolt.
^ Tighten the oil pan drain bolt to 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Fill the engine with oil to the appropriate mark.
5. Start engine and inspect for leaks.
