Combination Switch: Service and Repair



MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH REPLACEMENT - OVERHEAD CONSOLE

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the overhead console screws.
2. Grasp the overhead console and pull downward in order to disengage the fasteners. Refer to Console Replacement - Overhead in Interior Trim.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the overhead console.




4. Remove the multifunction switch (5) by using pliers in order to compress the retainers while pulling the switch away from the housing.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Snap the multifunction switch (5) into the opening in the overhead console.




2. Connect the electrical connectors.
3. Align the overhead console within the vehicle.
4. Install the overhead console.
