Folding Top Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure




Warning: Refer to Servicing Electrical Components Warning (Servicing Electrical Components Warning).
1. Place the folding top with the #1 bow and #5 bow in the up position.




2. Open the stowage compartment lid (1).
3. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
4. Remove the folding top stowage compartment lower carpet (2) to expose the control module. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Convertible) (Service and Repair)Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair) in Interior Trim.
Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the folding top control module (2).
5. Remove the control module (4) by lifting up to release the hook and loop fastener.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect the electrical connectors (3) to the folding top control module (4).
2. Install the folding top stowage compartment carpet (2). Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Convertible) (Service and Repair)Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair) in interior Trim.
3. Close the stowage compartment lid (1).
4. Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation (Power Folding Top Description and Operation).
5. Refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) for programming and setup information.
