Inflatable Restraint Front End Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the retaining bolts from the inflatable restraint front end sensor.
3. Remove the sensor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the sensor from the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the retaining bolts to the inflatable restraint front end sensor.

Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

3. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
