Auxiliary Battery Negative Cable Replacement




Battery Negative Cable Replacement (With LMM Auxiliary) (6.6L)

Removal Procedure




1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the auxiliary battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
3. Disconnect the negative ground leads from the frame.
4. Remove the battery negative cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the battery negative cable to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Connect the negative ground leads to the frame and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
3. Connect the battery negative cable to the auxiliary battery and tighten to 14 Nm (123 in lb).
