Liftgate Wedge Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the bolt (3) securing the wedge (2) to the liftgate (1).
3. Remove the wedge from the liftgate.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the wedge (2) to the liftgate and index the locking tab on the back side of the wedge to the index hole in the liftgate.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the bolt (3) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
3. Close the liftgate.
