Blower Motor Resistor Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the blower motor. Refer to Blower Motor Replacement Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor resistor.

Note: Loosen the rearward blower motor resistor screws. The rearward blower motor resistor holes are slotted.

3. Loosen the rearward blower motor resistor screws (3).
4. Remove the forward blower motor resistor screw (3).
5. Remove the blower motor resistor (4).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the blower motor resistor (4).
2. Install and snug the forward blower motor resistor screw.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Tighten the rearward blower motor resistor screws (3) to 1.2 Nm (11 lb in).
4. Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor resistor.
5. Install the blower motor. Refer to Blower Motor Replacement Service and Repair.
