Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side.
2. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
3. Remove the CKP sensor stud (2).
4. Remove the CKP sensor (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Lubricate the CKP sensor O-ring with clean engine oil.
2. Install the CKP sensor (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Install the CKP sensor stud (2) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
4. Connect the engine harness electrical connector to the CKP sensor.
5. Install the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side.
