Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair




Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement).




3. Remove the air cleaner nuts.
4. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Pull up the front leg of the housing in order to disengage the housing from the stud.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the air cleaner, push down the front leg of the housing in order to seat the housing onto the stud.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the air cleaner nuts and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




3. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement).
4. Connect the engine harness electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
