Compressor Pressure Relief Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).




3. Remove the pressure relief valve from the compressor.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the pressure relief valve and seal to the compressor and tighten the valve to 7 Nm (62 lb in).
2. Lower the vehicle.
3. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
4. Leak test the fittings using the J 39400-A .
