Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the cooling fan pulley. Refer to Fan Pulley Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor bolt.
3. Remove the CMP sensor.

Installation Procedure




1. Lubricate the CMP sensor O-ring with clean engine oil.
2. Install the CMP sensor.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the CMP sensor bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

4. Install the cooling fan pulley. Refer to Fan Pulley Replacement (Service and Repair).
