Trailer Hitch Platform Replacement


Removal Procedure

1.Raise and Support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

2.If equipped with compressed natural gas, support the aft fuel tank assembly with a suitable jack.

3.Disconnect the trailer harness electrical connector.





4.Remove the hitch to frame mounting bolts and the nuts.

5.Remove the hitch from the vehicle.

6.Transfer components as necessary.

Installation Procedure





1.Install the hitch to the vehicle.

Caution:Refer to Fastener Caution .

2.Install the hitch to frame mounting nuts and the bolts and tighten to88 N �m (65 lb ft).

3.Connect the trailer harness electrical connector.

4.If equipped with compressed natural gas, Remove the jack from the aft tank.

5.Lower the vehicle.
