Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair

Engine Oil Level Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the lower oil pan. Refer to Lower Oil Pan Replacement (Lower Oil Pan Replacement).
2. Remove the oil level sensor clip (3).
3. Remove the oil level sensor bolt (2) and sensor (1).

Installation Procedure

Note: When routing the oil level sensor wire, ensure that the wire is routed along the side of the oil pan.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the oil level sensor (1) and bolt (2) and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
2. Install the oil level sensor clip (3).
3. Install the lower oil pan. Refer to Lower Oil Pan Replacement (Lower Oil Pan Replacement).
