Fuel Strainer Bowl Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the fuel from the fuel filter. Refer to Water-in-Fuel Draining (Procedures).
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.




3. Remove the diesel fuel strainer bowl assembly.

Installation Procedure





Note: The water-in-fuel sensor must ONLY be tightened by hand.

1. Install the diesel strainer bowl assembly.
2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming (Fuel System Priming).
4. Start the engine. If the engine stalls, repeat the above step.
5. Once the engine starts, inspect for fuel leaks.
