Quarter Inner Trim Finish Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

Note:
When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

1. Install a suitable liftgate brace to the vehicle.

2. Remove the rear end trim finish panel. Refer to Rear End Trim Finish Panel Replacement Rear End Trim Finish Panel Replacement.

3. Remove the rear compartment floor panel carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Sedan) Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Sedan).





4. Remove the rear compartment floor panel carpet exterior support foams (2).

5. Remove the rear compartment floor panel centre support foam (1).

6. Fold the rear seat forward.





7. Remove the quarter upper trim panel to body retaining screws (1).

8. Remove the rear compartment convenience hooks (2).





9. Carefully disengage the quarter trim panel to body retaining clips (1).





10. Disconnect the right side quarter trim panel wiring harness (1) from the rear body wiring harness (2).

11. Remove the quarter panel trim (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the quarter trim panel to the vehicle.





Note:
Step 2 is valid for the installation of the right-hand side quarter trim panel only.

2. Connect the right side quarter trim panel wiring harness (1) to the rear body wiring harness (2).





3. Carefully engage the quarter trim panel to body retaining clips (1).





4. Install the rear compartment convenience hooks (2).

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

5. Install the quarter upper trim panel to body retaining screws (1) and tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

6. Position the rear seat to the original upright locked position.





7. Install the rear compartment floor panel centre support foam (1).

8. Install the rear compartment floor panel carpet exterior support foams (2).

9. Install the rear compartment floor panel carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Sedan) Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Sedan).

10. Install the rear end trim finish panel. Refer to Rear End Trim Finish Panel Replacement Rear End Trim Finish Panel Replacement.

11. Remove the suitable liftgate brace from the vehicle.
