Oil Tank Inlet Hose Replacement
Removal Procedure - Front
Danger:
To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.
Warning:
Refer to Safety Glasses Warning Safety Glasses Warning.
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement Service and Repair.
3. Disconnect the oil tank inlet hose/pipe (1) from the oil tank inlet port (2).
4. Remove the oil tank inlet hose/pipe retaining clamp nut and bolt (3).
5. Disconnect the oil tank inlet hose/pipe (2) from the oil pan adaptor outlet port (1).
6. Remove the oil tank inlet hose/pipe (2) from the vehicle.
7. Remove the oil tank inlet hose/pipe retaining clamp from the oil tank inlet hose/pipe (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the oil tank inlet hose/pipe (2) to the vehicle.
2. Install the oil tank inlet hose/pipe retaining clamp to the oil tank inlet hose/pipe (2).
3. Connect the oil tank inlet hose/pipe (2) to the oil pan adaptor outlet port (1).
Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
4. Install the oil tank inlet hose/pipe retaining clamp nut and bolt (3).
Tighten the nut and bolt to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
5. Connect the oil tank inlet hose/pipe (1) to the oil tank inlet port (2).
6. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
7. Fill the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement Service and Repair.
8. Start the engine, allow it to idle and check for any oil leaks. Repair as necessary.
