Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement




Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement (LS3, LS7)

Removal Procedure

1. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

2. Remove the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (LS3, LS7) Power Steering Pump Pulley ReplacementPower Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (LS9) Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement.





3. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose (2) from the power steering pump (1).

4. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose (2) from the steering gear.

5. Remove the power steering pressure hose (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the power steering pressure hose (2) to the vehicle.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Connect the power steering pressure hose (2) to the power steering gear and tighten the fitting to 34 Nm (25 lb ft).

3. Connect the power steering pressure hose (2) to the power steering pump (1) and tighten the fitting to 34 Nm (25 lb ft).

4. Install the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (LS3, LS7) Power Steering Pump Pulley ReplacementPower Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (LS9) Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement.

5. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.

6. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding Service and Repair.
